Take me down underground
Find me cold and wet
Find me things slithering
A many jointed set
Let the light fade above
Let the dampness in
Huddle me in an alcove
Comfort me with squid

Rustles in the darkness
I wonder who it is
Fumble for my buttons
I want to welcome it
Down here you may hallucinate
Down here you may be lost
Algae flows in gentle waves
Oozing on the moss

Nothing can come from behind
Nothing on my six
Back down in a little cleft
A womb encombed in brick
Dripping sounds all around
There must be more than me
Someone in each cul de sac
In all these nooks and crannies
